Pike County School Corporation has developed state and nationally recognized programs and is creating graduate that are ready for the workforce. It has several STEM programs throughout the school system.
Pike County School State Awards:
- Pike Central High School has over 50% of the high school students enrolled in Project Lead The Way (PLTW) programs.
- PLTW Biomedical Program has a dominating Freshman-Senior rotation in the program as they learn about health sciences.
- PLTW Engineering Program has Freshman-Junior rotation studying the various engineering professions and gathering a vast understanding of CAD programming.
- PLTW programs heavily rely upon maximizing the STEM curriculum, while developing an entrepreneurial spirit in Biomed and engineering fields.
- In 2017, the Precision Machining technical class earned first place at the Indiana Skills USA Championship.
